The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 2634 had shown up at Where the Wild Roses Grow for the match. Gerd Trossel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and . Bergamot started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players took the field: Azzi - Mola, Stancarone, Salici, Inversi - Scanferla, Birindelli, Carbonaro, Badocchi, Marrazzo - Scuffi.

Saxons decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. Lineup: av Teigum - Bonnafous, Lek - á Nesi, Aristotelous, Molina Moreno, Nafzinger, Haraldsen - Andersons, á Bakka, Bellet.

Bergamot clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could, taking advantage of their brilliant level with that tactic. The referee showed Bergamot's Fabio Mola the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Pierpaolo Badocchi's lack of experience almost gave Saxons a goal after 14 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. With 17 minutes played Johnny Birindelli almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. Saxons's Oskars Andersons had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 27 minutes having been played. Hans-Henrik Bøgh was the replacement. Bergamot took the lead 37 minutes into the match after a magnificent free kick by Guglielmo Scuffi that made the score 1 - 0. Cesare Inversi hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving Bergamot's Ugo Scanferla an easy chance to knock it in for 2 - 0. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Bergamot, with 54 percent of the ball.

Content with how the game was proceeding, the Bergamot coach let Florin-Marius Robescu replace Ugo Scanferla after 46 minutes. After 55 minutes, Saxons switched Gijsbert Lek with Aníbal Olguín, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The bench was restless, and with 75 minutes passed Saxons's coach gave Óla Jákup 'Sidewinder' Næs the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Sámal Mattias á Bakka reluctantly left the field. With 77 minutes played, Anselm Bellet had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot from the middle flew harmlessly wide of the goal. The coach of Bergamot was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 80 minutes, Carlo Finozzi came on for Libero Azzi. Guglielmo Scuffi wanted to play on, but the Bergamot coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 80 minutes into the game by Adolfo Galeazzo. With Guglielmo Scuffi no longer on the pitch, Johnny Birindelli took over free kick duty. Carlo Finozzi became the new Bergamot captain. Coming from the right, Pierpaolo Badocchi almost managed to score another goal for Bergamot, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

Bergamot's best player was Cesare Inversi. Giancarlo Carbonaro was a disappointment, however. Most important Saxons player was Anselm Bellet. On the other hand, Jón av Teigum's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 0.
