Cobras 0 - 2 Brann

3384 spectators arrived at Cahill Stadium, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Finn Bisgaard. Cobras decided to use a 5-5-0 set up. Lineup: Girip - Głuszak, Pihema, Nazaré, Galuvao, Rikilucas - Sadler, Gibbs, Scuffi, Alves, Coulson -.

Brann tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: de Sousa - Ryneveen, Kresnik, Leenaers - Steinicke, Martinho, Dejaegher, Lesueur, Couceiro - Avidar, Errea.

Today, Brann's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks, taking advantage of their world class level with that tactic. Cobras had a chance to take the lead after Jakub 'Grizzly' Głuszak's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 7 minutes. Jamir Nazaré behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 30 minutes as he gave the ball away to Daniel Errea. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. 34 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but Ofek Avidar, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. Brann took the lead after 37 minutes making the score 0 - 1. Ofek Avidar placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Cobras's Jamir Nazaré's long shot really ought to have found the net 41 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target. Brann came close to extending their lead as Daniel Errea delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 42 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. Cobras's Steve 'Cool Hand' Coulson got himself booked for a foul. Brann were able to draw a foul with their counterattacks, but the shot from Olivio Couceiro went into the arms of the keeper. 44 minutes into the game, Jamir Nazaré had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Eddie Lukas. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Cobras, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

62 minutes into the game, Brann were awarded a penalty and Olivio Couceiro was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 2 rolling the ball in by the right post. By now, the players in Brann felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 73 minutes in, Brann's Scott Dejaegher received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Cobras were forced into a substitution as Robbie Pihema couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing Brady Staples to come in off the bench. Brann were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. The referee showed Cobras's Rowan Gibbs the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Cobras's Steve 'Cool Hand' Coulson had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 81 minutes having been played. Kostya Sherman was the replacement. There was concern in the stands when, at the 86 minute mark, Cobras's Elijah Rikilucas hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Brann coach let Rune 'Husi' Sandve replace Daniel Errea after 87 minutes. The Brann players could smell victory in the air. Olivio Couceiro wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Alexey Sereda after 89 minutes. As Olivio Couceiro left the field, the coach signaled to Jes 'Kniksen' Steinicke to be the new set pieces taker. Cobras claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

Ova Sadler performed admirably for Cobras. On the other hand, Giovanni Battista Scuffi's play was disheartening. The most dominating Brann player was without a doubt Jes 'Kniksen' Steinicke. Scott Dejaegher on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.
