Sahura 3 - 0 MSO

Due to an all-day shower, 1997 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Per-Usir. Maic Golay was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and . Sahura started off with a 5-3-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Polak - Candelli, Meulemans, Uyaynah, Søndrål, Tsiolas - Khallali, Huck, Fayek - Variar, Štěpán.

MSO had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Starters: Bisp - Hansson, Gilsing, Billich - Beckmann, Susekoppel, Ebertz, Lauersen, Zanaty - Berg, Bošnjak.

Sahura clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could, taking advantage of their world class level with that tactic. MSO used their inadequate skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but Rickard Hansson showed great heart and had a good game. Many thought Mohammad 'The Outsider' Uyaynah ought to have been awarded a penalty 24 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around Eivind Bisp after a determined run through the middle. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, Michal Štěpán scored for Sahura putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 33 minutes. 39 minutes into the game, Venkat 'Warrior' Variar had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Habib Ibrahim. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Sahura claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

The coach of Sahura was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, Sadik 'Cobra' Abd El Fattah came on for Yiannis 'The Mummy' Tsiolas. After 60 minutes, MSO switched Karl-Uwe Ebertz with Bela Sima, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. With Karl-Uwe Ebertz no longer on the pitch, David Gilsing took over free kick duty. After 64 minutes MSO's Gerd Billich limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. Jan-Okko Meulemans left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 65 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Azmi Hamdan was the replacement. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Sahura's Anas 'The Scorpion' Fayek increasing the lead to 2 - 0. By now, the players in Sahura felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. With 70 minutes played, the MSO coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Clifton Mcmahan came on, David Gilsing had to leave the fray. With David Gilsing no longer on the pitch, Rickard Hansson became the new set pieces taker. MSO needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 80 minutes Jannik Berg made way for Niwat Junseemui. At this time in the match, MSO were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Sahura scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Anas 'The Scorpion' Fayek after 83 minutes. MSO enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

Most important Sahura player was Fritz Polak. On the other hand, Habib Ibrahim's play was disheartening. MSO's top performer was clearly Niwat Junseemui. However, Šerif 'Mr GL' Bošnjak made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 0.
