Having looked forward to this game all week, it was quite a disappointment for the The Mints players when their scheduled opponents did not show up. But the groundskeeper called some friends over for a game instead. It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 3752 that came out to Minto Meadows. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Brice Buchet. The Mints had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Paltauf - Kiesenebner, Hegdal, Gobbo - Sinisbury, Del Muto, Richardson, Greenstock, Muscarello - Morone, Fattorini.

bra-arg decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. They fielded: Stippelmans - MacVurich, Flood, White, Gibson - Warwick, Mommaerts, Dryburn, Sealer - Wickland, Dalwhinnie.

The Mints fans held their breath as Stefano Fattorini scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! 12 minutes in, The Mints's Stefano Fattorini received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The Mints made it 2 - 0 as Stefano Fattorini got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to Lee Richardson who whipped a low drive in off the far post. Vito Gobbo fired a shot from distance after 24 minutes, but the long shot couldn't find the net for The Mints. 27 minutes into the game, bra-arg seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a solid level of organisation. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why Reece Warwick found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. With 34 minutes played, The Mints put themselves up 3 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Lee Richardson, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Cheers filled the stadium as Vito Gobbo broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to The Mints. Confident in their lead, The Mints's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in The Mints's Mason Greenstock increasing the lead to 5 - 0. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Jim Dalwhinnie from bra-arg a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 44 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 0. The Mints enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 84 percent of possession.

A review of the gameplan helped bra-arg get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Given a free kick close to the byline, The Mints tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let Henry Sinisbury slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 6 - 0, 56 minutes into the game. Vito Gobbo left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 60 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Morten Trads was the replacement. The The Mints players could smell victory in the air. Henry Sinisbury wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Joe Whiston after 60 minutes. Content with how the game was proceeding, the The Mints coach let Aitame Mantos replace Stefano Fattorini after 65 minutes. 69 minutes into the game, The Mints were awarded a penalty that Francesco Morone turned into 7 - 0 without a problem. 72 minutes into the game, bra-arg had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to solid. After 73 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Mario Muscarello gave the The Mints supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 8 - 0. The Mints's Morten Trads had an excellent opportunity after 80 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! bra-arg's Reece Warwick was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 81 minutes. 82 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Mario Muscarello broke through, making the score 9 - 0 for The Mints. The Mints had most of the ball, with 86 percent of possession.

The Mints's best player was Aitame Mantos. Joe Whiston was a disappointment, however. bra-arg's top performer was clearly Balthazar Mommaerts. On the other hand, Lindsay Dryburn's play was disheartening. The match ends 9 - 0.
