Brann 4 - 1 Cobras

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 3923 had shown up at Brann Stadion for the match. Stane Šuštar was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Luca Guidetti and Santiago Chávez. Brann started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Bethusy-Huc - Fjelblad, Kresnik, Leenaers - Steinicke, Dejaegher, Lesueur, Martinho, Couceiro - Errea, Avidar.

Cobras tactics involved an interesting 5-2-3 combination. The following players took the field: Danaei Fard - Sadler, Nolan, Nazaré, Girip, Gibbs - Głuszak, Boon - Alves, Ash, Pantić.

Brann were mostly trying to use their magnificent skill at attacking on the flanks. For their match strategy, Cobras had decided to use their excellent ability to counter-attack whenever possible. 11 minutes into the game, Cobras wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Jon Nolan gave Robbie Pihema a quick hug as he left the field. Making his way up the middle 18 minutes into the match, Scott Dejaegher almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Alidad Danaei Fard blocked it to keep the score level. Daniel Errea has acquired a talent for predicting the movements of the opposing defence over the years and this almost resulted in a goal 19 minutes into the match. Brann fans held their breath as Floor Leenaers scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Brann enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.

Cobras played a good counterattacking move down the left 48 minutes into the match, with Gilceu 'Playboy' Alves finishing well for 1 - 1. The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 54 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Ofek Avidar, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. Brann's Tomaž Kresnik got himself booked for a foul. The bench was restless, and with 62 minutes passed Cobras's coach gave Kostya Sherman the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Gilceu 'Playboy' Alves reluctantly left the field. Tomaž Kresnik left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Hessel Ryneveen was the replacement. Brann managed to extend their lead to 3 - 1 when Ofek Avidar cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. The coach of Brann was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 75 minutes, Ilija Kurtov came on for Daniel Errea. After 75 minutes, Jean-Marie Lesueur put Brann ahead 4 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Brann claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.

Most important Brann player was Jes 'Kniksen' Steinicke. On the other hand, Scott Dejaegher's play was disheartening. The most dominating Cobras player was without a doubt Jakub 'Grizzly' Głuszak. However, Jamir Nazaré made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 1.
