The 2815 spectators at Somerville Super Stadium were in for an afternoon of sunshine. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Stefano Masio. EVILinc tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. Starters: Murphy - Chí Minh, Roberts - Naik, Koula, Baratović, Faulkner, Tuckey - Hutton, McMullan, Skipper.

Tricolor started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. They fielded: Tarawaly - Hodgton, Martin, Ralson, Smithson - Rahim, Rutherford, Sweeney, Adkins, Viem - Lynch.

EVILinc could have put themselves ahead after 2 minutes but Tika Tuckey missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why Abe 'Superstar' Lynch found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. After 28 minutes, EVILinc were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. Miroslav Baratović did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. EVILinc's Arron McMullan got himself booked for a foul. EVILinc made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left Miroslav Baratović completely alone with keeper Solomon 'Warrior' Tarawaly, who made a spectacular block. After 44 minutes, Rohit Naik sent the corner kick right to Alexander Roberts who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 0! With 44 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Tricolor resulted in a counterattack that set Boris Martin free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by EVILinc, with 74 percent of the ball.

Tika Tuckey should probably have put his team up another goal after 48 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Solomon 'Warrior' Tarawaly kept the visitors in the game. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Mark Ralson got himself booked. The manager of Tricolor was not happy. EVILinc were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 72 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by Rohit Naik. 2 - 0 for the home side. Content with how the game was proceeding, the EVILinc coach let Wally Mueller replace Miroslav Baratović after 89 minutes. The coach of EVILinc was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 89 minutes, Moe Harwood came on for Ian Faulkner. The EVILinc players could smell victory in the air. Mitch Koula wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Niccolò Muolo after 89 minutes. EVILinc claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

EVILinc's top performer was clearly Stewart Hutton. However, Ross Murphy made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Tricolor player was without a doubt Abe 'Superstar' Lynch. Alan Sweeney on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 0.
