ratatoulle 2 - 7 MSO

The 2524 spectators at rattentempel were in for an afternoon of sunshine. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Pelle Kjær and Ulrich Hans Vonhof. ratatoulle decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. They fielded: Noens - Ropcier, Hebberecht, Olofsson - Anckaert, Lavrijssen, Bajger, Siemons - De Jonghe, Vleminckx, Van Der Jeught.

MSO tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Duve - Ðukić, Johansen, Bredal - Días de Arcaya, Murillo, Nørregaard, Ebertz, Asanger - da Rosa, Junseemui.

Pressing was the tactic of the day for ratatoulle, taking advantage of their weak level with that tactic. It was an obvious ambition of MSO to use their magical ability at attacking on the flanks. With 3 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. Eirik Johansen put the ball away for 0 - 1. 10 minutes into the match, Ben Nørregaard came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Noa Lavrijssen of ratatoulle was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 20 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as Eusébio da Rosa finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Some fine movement on the left led to a MSO goal after 31 minutes, making it 0 - 3. Eusébio da Rosa was noted down as the scorer. After this, you could see that the players of MSO were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. At the 32 minute mark, it looked like the opportunity for ratatoulle to score had been missed until Jorne Vleminckx suddenly worked his way clear and fired off a spectacular shot. The keeper had no chance! 1 - 3. A drive down the left side allowed Eusébio da Rosa to get in close and score another goal for MSO after 35 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 4. By then Eusébio da Rosa had scored three goals - a hat trick! Halftime score was 1 - 4. MSO had most of the ball, with 66 percent of possession.

The sunny day didn't make things easy for Joren Ropcier who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. Eusébio da Rosa increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 5. That ratatoulle's Jorne Vleminckx has the ability of doing what no one expects him to do was shown as he ran over an opposing defender, snatched the ball and passed to Thomas Van Der Jeught who hit it hard into the wide open goal after 76 minutes: 2 - 5! ratatoulle's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle. ratatoulle had to make a substitution after 84 minutes. Pierre-Louis Noens limped off the field and was replaced by Tauno Virves. It was obvious that MSO had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. After 85 minutes of game time, Eirik Johansen had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but Tauno Virves was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. Attacking on the wings was the choice for MSO, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. After 88 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Niwat Junseemui to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 2 - 6. 88 minutes into the game, MSO seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a solid level of organisation. The home crowd was not impressed when Davor Ðukić came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 89 minutes. MSO were now up 2 - 7. MSO claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

ratatoulle's best player was Jorne Vleminckx. On the other hand, Tauno Virves's play was disheartening. Most important MSO player was Niwat Junseemui. However, Wilhelm Duve made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 7.
