Dark skies made the crowd of 3188 at Brann Stadion a little nervous, but the rain held off. Yan 'Mesut' Charbonnier was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Néstor Duce and Ernest Palkowski. Brann tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. Starters: Bethusy-Huc - Leenaers, Wunderlin, Verstappen - Kouris, Lesueur, Esteva, Sereda - Aarhus, Sandve, Kurtov.

BROTHERHOOD started off with a 5-5-0 lineup. The following players took the field: Filip - Wakelam, Ghosh, Kotwal, O'Donnell, Rennie - 茨栋 (Cidong), Schlang, Burt, Perkins, Al-Jashmy -.

Brann displayed their disastrous ability to play creatively. Brann created a good opportunity to score 4 minutes into the match when Alexey Sereda's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. Tom Aarhus caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 23 minutes. This gave Brann the 1 - 0 lead. Some things can only be learned through experience, and Blair Perkins should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Brann a goal with 25 minutes of the match played. Brann's Tom Aarhus saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 31 minutes. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Jean-Marie Lesueur squirmed through their central defence after 33 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. The players of Brann now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Brann increased the lead as Tom Aarhus struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Halftime score was 3 - 0. Brann had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

The score became 4 - 0 at 55 minutes into the game, when Brann were given a penalty which Tom Aarhus blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! At that, Tom Aarhus was noted down for a hat trick! Brann made it 5 - 0 as Alexey Sereda got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to Jordi Esteva who whipped a low drive in off the far post. Alexey Sereda caught everyone off guard with a great opening pass - but unfortunately Tom Aarhus was as surprised by the move as anybody else, and managed to miss the extraordinary opportunity. After 68 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Alexey Sereda might have resulted in another goal for Brann. However, Robert Filip made a spectacular save. There was concern in the stands when, at the 79 minute mark, BROTHERHOOD's Toby Rennie hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. The Brann players could smell victory in the air. Floor Leenaers wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Thomas Fjelblad after 80 minutes. A well-executed free kick by Tom Aarhus after 81 minutes made it 6 - 0 for Brann. Harry Burt of BROTHERHOOD was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Brann coach let Robbert Jan Bertieaux replace Rune 'Husi' Sandve after 85 minutes. The Brann captaincy was handed to Seth Verstappen. Possession in this half belonged to Brann, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.

Robbert Jan Bertieaux performed admirably for Brann. However, Jean-Marie Lesueur made a disastrous appearance. Most important BROTHERHOOD player was Yassin Abdulbary Al-Jashmy. On the other hand, Robert Filip's play was disheartening. The match ends 6 - 0.
