Dark skies made the crowd of 24311 at Estádio das Laranjeiras a little nervous, but the rain held off. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Joan Fíguls and . Tricolor tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players took the field: Tarawaly - Hodgton, Martin, Ralson, Smithson - Rahim, Rutherford, Sweeney, Adkins, Viem - Lynch.

BROTHERHOOD decided to use a 5-4-0 set up. The following players had been chosen: Filip - 茨栋 (Cidong), Schlang, Burt, Ghosh, Al-Jashmy - Bjerrum, Perkins, Vogel, Wakelam -.

BROTHERHOOD's Roland Vogel was shown a yellow card after 21 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Tricolor's Mushfiqur Rahim went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. 24 minutes in, BROTHERHOOD appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. 31 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Tricolor to take the lead after a good cross from the right found Rob Viem alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. Tricolor had a chance to take the lead after Alex Rutherford's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 32 minutes. Many thought Alexander Hodgton ought to have been awarded a penalty 34 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around Robert Filip after a determined run through the middle. BROTHERHOOD had no available replacements when Alex Bjerrum had to leave the game after 37 minutes because of a pulled tendon, leaving the team a man short. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Robert Filip took over the role of being the BROTHERHOOD captain. After 38 minutes, Boris Martin came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Tricolor the lead. The referee showed Tricolor's Mark Ralson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Tricolor claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

The BROTHERHOOD players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. Boris Martin unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Blair Perkins from BROTHERHOOD a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 52 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Mark Ralson was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Tricolor's Chris Sneesby had to come off the bench. Abe 'Superstar' Lynch increased Tricolor's lead to 2 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. 72 minutes into the game, Alexander Hodgton had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Richard Makin. 76 minutes into the game, BROTHERHOOD seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Abe 'Superstar' Lynch squirmed through their central defence after 84 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Boris Martin could have increased the lead after 88 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Tricolor managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when Rob Viem cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. The players of Tricolor now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. 89 minutes in, BROTHERHOOD's Matthew Wakelam received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Tricolor's Conrad Adkins got himself booked for a foul. Tricolor enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.

Chris Sneesby performed admirably for Tricolor. Richard Makin on the other hand, had a terrible day. BROTHERHOOD's top performer was clearly 蓝 (Lan) 茨栋 (Cidong). Robert Filip turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
