Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 3541 at Panic Room today. Halvor Dahl was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Vladimír Tumpach. Wirschtlstand tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. They fielded: Ljubinković - Skender, Walerowski, Bonci, Steinbauer - Giese, Bogh, 凯隆 (Kailong), Sailer, Hasenjäger - Haedo.

Rünenberg started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Meneske - Letellier, Ringenburg, Nuehrich, Läuchli - Keel, Ginesu, Lorenzi, Gremminger - Dübendorfer, Ruby.

Rünenberg showed off their disastrous creative tactics. Janko Skender received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 2 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. 8 minutes into the game, Alessandro Gremminger almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Rünenberg's Bruno Ginesu after 16 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. 32 minutes into the game, Rünenberg seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. With 33 minutes played, after a good run down the left, Jean-Louis Giese went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Rünenberg, with 56 percent of the ball.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Rünenberg had solid organisation. The bicycle kick from Alessandro Gremminger would have been the Goal of the Year for Rünenberg, had it not hit the post. 73 minutes in, and Wirschtlstand were able to score the equalising goal to make it 1 - 1 when Lukas Steinbauer picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. 78 minutes into the game, Rünenberg wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Bruno Ginesu gave Ludovic Felgenhauer a quick hug as he left the field. Bruno Ginesu was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that Marcel Nuehrich got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. Kristijan Ljubinković looked great 81 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Ludovic Felgenhauer. 83 minutes into the game, Rünenberg had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. Rünenberg took the lead 84 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle. Dave Ruby was the scorer. Remo Ringenburg could have put his team up another goal 86 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Dave Ruby from Rünenberg a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 87 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Rodolfo Haedo's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Wirschtlstand, he bravely continued in the match. One of many good crosses from Dietrich Keel on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by Dave Ruby, who scored for Rünenberg. 1 - 3 After the ball was lifted in from the left, Remo Ringenburg was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 89 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Wirschtlstand made sure of not letting Dietrich Keel succeed with his speed. When an opportunity appeared for him, as it did 89 minutes into the game, speedy 高 (Gao) 凯隆 (Kailong) came to the rescue and stopped the attack. At 89 minutes into the game, Wirschtlstand's 高 (Gao) 凯隆 (Kailong) deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 2 - 3. 89 minutes in, Rünenberg appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. Guido Dübendorfer received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 89 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 2 - 4. The Rünenberg fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Rünenberg enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

Wirschtlstand's top performer was clearly Leszek Walerowski. However, Franz Sailer made a disastrous appearance. Rünenberg's best player was Guido Dübendorfer. On the other hand, Marcel Nuehrich's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 4.
