The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 3647 had shown up at Per-Usir for the match. Washiyatul Madubun was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Ernst Mohr. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Sahura. Starters: Hanafy - Candelli, Tsiolas, Søndrål, Meulemans - Assem, Huck, Uyaynah, Fayek - Variar, Hanebrink.

Troopers started off with a 5-5-0 lineup. Lineup: Papadias - Power, Jutrzenka-Trzebiatowski, Ward, Camilleri, Lefebvre - Ambler, Durling, Levetzow, Åhbeck, Banu -.

For their match strategy, Sahura had decided to use their brilliant ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Anas Assem would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Fuad 'The Enforcer' Bin-Jaber entered the game for Sahura as the match clock showed 1 minutes. With 11 minutes gone, Venkat 'Warrior' Variar suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Sahura caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. After 25 minutes, the Sahura coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Janis Hanebrink off the field. Michal Štěpán took his place. It was 0 - 0 at the break. Troopers claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

Fuad 'The Enforcer' Bin-Jaber made a quick rush after 69 minutes, but Matthieu Lefebvre had no problems keeping up the pace and stopped the attack. 71 minutes into the game, Eckardt Levetzow had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. Basil Hanafy looked great 72 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Gabriel Jutrzenka-Trzebiatowski. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Martin Ambler got himself booked. The manager of Troopers was not happy. 80 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Sahura substitution. Fritz Polak came on for Basil Hanafy. Sahura took the lead 85 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as Martin 'Atheling' Søndrål elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. The referee showed Sahura's Yiannis 'The Mummy' Tsiolas the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Sahura were able to mount several counterattacks, such as the impressive one after 89 minutes, but Mohammad 'The Outsider' Uyaynah lofted a free kick over the crossbar. Martin Ambler of Troopers got sent off for kicking the ball after the whistle, a completely uncalled for move, earning him his second yellow card of the game. As Martin Ambler exited the field, Michael Power volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. After 89 minutes, Troopers sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Joe Camilleri, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Troopers, with 63 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Sahura player was without a doubt Venkat 'Warrior' Variar. Fuad 'The Enforcer' Bin-Jaber on the other hand, had a terrible day. Lampis Papadias performed admirably for Troopers. On the other hand, Gabriel Jutrzenka-Trzebiatowski's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 1.
