1311 spectators had come to Somerville Super Stadium this cloudy day. Massimiliano Falco was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Sven Eichelbaum. EVILinc decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. They fielded: Wright - Hogg, Scott - Jackson, Hutton, Naik, Skipper, Tinozzi - Koula, Baratović, Faulkner.

A 5-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Bergamot. The following players took the field: Gioda - Stancarone, Badocchi, Felici Ridolfi, Carbonaro, Mola - Simion, Dalbon, Cicuta - Boccassi, Ricca.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Bergamot, taking advantage of their outstanding level with that tactic. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, EVILinc's Martino Tinozzi somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for Miroslav Baratović, who struck for 1 - 0. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Mitch Koula from EVILinc a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 36 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A sublimely cunning counterattack by Bergamot resulted in the awarding of a free kick that Nicola Dalbon brutally hammered, twisting it mid-flight past the flailing hands of the keeper and into the net - 1 - 1! 40 minutes into the game, Pierpaolo Badocchi finished off a Bergamot left wing counterattack, making the score 1 - 2. Bergamot bypassed the midfield with their counterattack, leading to a free kick goal by Nicola Dalbon for 1 - 3. After this, you could see that the players of Bergamot were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Halftime score was 1 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by EVILinc, with 81 percent of the ball.

The home crowd were delighted when Rohit Naik scored with a header after an attack from the right, making the score 2 - 3. But did he use his hand? That'll be one for the pundits to talk about after the game, that's for sure! Mario Boccassi left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 65 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Guglielmo Scuffi was the replacement. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Bergamot coach let Davide Luigi Salici replace Stefano Stancarone after 70 minutes. After 73 minutes of play, Elijah Jackson evened things up for EVILinc with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 3 - 3. After 74 minutes of play, Stewart Hutton gave the home team a 4 - 3 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Alexander Roberts was called on to replace EVILinc's Stewart Hutton after 75 minutes following a nasty collision. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 76 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but Giuseppe Gioda got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. After 80 minutes, Bergamot switched Ferruccio Cicuta with Basilio Polizzi, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Possession in this half belonged to EVILinc, who controlled the ball 78 percent of the time.

Most important EVILinc player was Miroslav Baratović. Victor Wright turned in a dismal performance, however. Bergamot's top performer was clearly Guglielmo Scuffi. On the other hand, Enrico Mauro Felici Ridolfi's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 3.
