494 punters turned up at Welcome to the JUNGLE!, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Mariano Zono. Bengals started off with a 5-3-2 lineup. They fielded: Pashutin - Aygen, Grurl, Babiarz, Severino, Savisaar - Galus, Hampl, Achter-Bialek - Todt, Scheidl.

Travemonster tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Kohlenmühle - Stippert, Bilder, Zoettl - Knierim, Ruihs, Solati, Waldsolms, Burkhard - Schwarzmeier, Fronteddu.

It was obvious that Bengals were using their weak pressing skill as their primary tactic. The strategy for Travemonster was to use their inadequate ability to press. After 11 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Bengals found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak. Valery Pashutin looked great 12 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Hilmar Knierim. 22 minutes into the game, Travemonster seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid. The pressing tactics used by Travemonster were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times. The referee showed Travemonster's Mathieu Solati the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Some great play up the middle by Bengals led to a chance for Janusz Babiarz to score after 34 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Bengals's Jan Scheidl was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 36 minutes. 39 minutes into the game, Travemonster seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. The corner kick from Bo Schwarzmeier was powerfully met by the head of Hilmar Knierim to make the score 0 - 1. After 41 minutes, Travemonster sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Lars-Holger Ruihs, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 2. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Travemonster enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

The Bengals players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a passable organisation when the game started again. Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Travemonster was able to get his message across, and raised Travemonster's organisation to solid. The Travemonster players could smell victory in the air. Mathieu Solati wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Klaus Borch after 46 minutes. Travemonster's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, Paul Burkhard would have put Travemonster up another goal 79 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. Travemonster had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

Most important Bengals player was Constantin Todt. On the other hand, Valery Pashutin's play was disheartening. Travemonster's best player was Klaus Borch. Bo Schwarzmeier turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
